What was the task I had?
What did I do?
I observed how customers interacted with lottery booths in Bulgaria, focusing on their behavior, preferences, and needs. This involved noting two key customer types:
Elderly Players: They tend to spend more time at the booths, enjoying the social and leisure aspects, such as coffee and snacks.
Busy Individuals: They are primarily focused on purchasing tickets quickly and efficiently. I also interviewed a clerk to gain insights into customer flow, identifying peak times (morning rush, midday quiet, evening spike), which provided a deeper understanding of how user activity varies throughout the day.
What was the result?
From my observations, I identified key behavioral patterns among users:
How did it contribute to the project?
What comes next?
The next step would be to incorporate these insights into the design of the platform. This could include:
Designing features that cater to both user groups, ensuring a balance between engagement and efficiency.
Implementing interface elements that replicate the leisurely experience for elderly users, while streamlining the process for busy users.
